Yesterday the Red Sox resigned Nathan Eovaldi to a 4 year 68 million dollar contract. This move adds depth to Boston's rotation in 2019 which is already great with Chris Sale, David Price, and Rick Porcello. When Eovaldi was acquired in late July from the Rays he pitched to a record of 3-3 with an ERA of 3.33. Eovaldi was great for the Sox in the postseason having a record of 2-1 with an ERA of 1.61 and pitched 6 innings out of relief in game 3 of the World Series only giving up 1 run. The Red Sox are on track to be one of the favorites to win the World Series again in 2019 and resiging Eovaldi moves them closer to doing that.
