Bruins Continue Hot Start, Beat Vegas 4-3

The 2-0 Bruins head to Vegas to take on the 2-0 Golden Knights. Early in the first the Bruins were flat. Vegas would jump out to a 2-0 lead midway through the period. Boston would wake up as the first line got on the board. Patrice Bergeron made a great steal in the offensive zone and got the puck to Brad Marchand, who would find David Pastrnak with a pass through the Knights defenders legs and the Bruins would get their first of the night.

Late in the period, the Bruins would get a power play opportunity where they would tie the game with about a minute to go in the period. This time it was Marchand who would find the back of the net after his shot deflected of a Knight’s defender to beat Marc Andre-Fluery.

The second period got off to a quick start as Marchand got his second of the game 33 seconds into the period off the assist from Pastrnak.

Less than two minutes later the Bruins would extend their lead to 4-2 as they scored 4 unanswered goals after Torey Krug powers home a slap shot from the blue line.

Late in the third period, the Golden Knights would get one back to make it 4-3, but they could not score with the extra attacker to tie the game. While it wasn’t the perfect game by any means, after that horrible first 10 minutes of the game, the Bruins really came alive and looked sharp for the 2nd and 3rd periods. On to the next. Thursday night at 9pm, the Bruins will be in Colorado looking to end their 4 game west coast trip a perfect 4-0 with 8 points.
