Bruins Remain in Slump

On the second night of back-to-back games, the Bruins were in Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning where they continued to play mediocre hockey. While they would jump out to an early lead, the B’s would struggle defending the power play where Steven Stamkos has been so good throughout his career. He would score to tie the game on the power play in the second period, followed by Brayden Point adding a power play goal early in the third period to take the lead. Stamkos would then score to extend the Lightning’s lead to 3-1 later in the third period. The Bruins would get a goal back when John Moore would score his first goal of the season, but it would not be enough as they could not score the tying goal with the net empty and an extra attacker on the ice. Boston will look to end the losing streak and get back in the win column in their next game on Saturday night when they take on the Florida Panthers on the road at 7pm.
