Here are the top 5 questions I am thinking about for the WNBA Draft 4.17.20.
- Does New York basketball have a new star? Sabrina Ionescu WILL be the 1st overall pick to the New York Liberty.
- How did Dallas get so many picks? It is simple, FREE AGENCY. The -W finally opened the reigns on free agency and their wallets. Dallas traded Skylar Diggins-Smith to Phoenix, Glory Johnson to Atlanta, Azura Stevens to the Sky, and they were also a part of the Tina Charles deal with the Liberty & Washington which gave them picks in the next 2 drafts. (psst... I think they end up with Lauren Cox from Baylor)
- UCONN pick: Dangerfield of Walker? Crystal Dangerfield = shooter, PG, high basketball IQ vs Megan Walker = Size, plays 1-2 or 3, High ceiling.
- How will the technology/broadcast hold up? The WNBA will be the guinea pig for the NFL. I am sure Goodell will be watching this draft.
- Will the-W talk about The Moores or not? I am talking Maya Moore & Tamara Moore. Maya Moore may have the best story going in sports right now. She QUIT! Yeah, quit. She did it in order to fight for the freedom of what she believes is an innocent man. Tamara Moore is the ONLY FEMALE coaching a men's basketball program in the USA.
