WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia, formerly known as Nikki Bella, was seen without her wedding ring during her first public appearance since her husband, former Dancing with the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev, was arrested on domestic violence charges last week.
Garcia, 40, appeared alongside co-host Rob Riggle during Netflix's live competitive eating showdown between Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi, which saw Chestnut win by setting a new world record with 83 frankfurters and buns consumed. The former two-time WWE Divas champion previously shared a statement to Us Weekly in response to her husband's arrest through a representative last Friday (August 30).
“This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time,” the statement reads.
Chigvinstev was charged with felony domestic violence last Thursday (August 29) and released on a $25,000 bond, according to online jail records. A conviction can be charged as either a misdemeanor or felony, which may result in a sentence of up to four years in state prison, as well as a maximum fine of $6,000.
Garcia and Chigvinstev share a 4-year-old son and celebrated their second wedding anniversary days before his arrest.
"Happy anniversary my love, can’t see my life with out you You are my everything ❤️," Chigvinstev wrote on an Instagram post featuring two of the couple's wedding photos.
"Happy Anniversary Click 🥹❤️🔥💋 Love you so much!" Garcia commented on the post.
Garcia also shared an Instagram post featuring a video celebrating the couple's anniversary, as well as a caption quoting Elvis Pressley's song 'Just Can't Help Falling in Love.'
“This song is our love story. I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem,” Garcia wrote. “Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be. Happy Anniversary @theartemc I love you!”
