Rob grew up in Southington, CT and is the son of Walt Dibble, CT Journalism Hall of Famer, and a 50-year veteran newsman. In 1983 Rob was a first round pick of The Cincinnati Reds. A two-time MLB All Star with The Reds and a member of the 1990 World Series Champion Reds team that swept the highly-favored Oakland A's.Rob retired as a player after1996 and then began his broadcasting career at WLIS in CT. In 1997 Rob joined FOX Sports News on Cable TV. In 1998, Rob returned to CT to work at ESPN Radio and TV until 2004 where he would spend the next seven years hosting shows on XM/Sirius MLB Network and as a host of The Best Damn Sports Show from 2004-2007 on Cable TV while still doing his radio show on XM. Rob did color analyst work on MASN with The Washington Nationals from 2009-2011. From 2007-2011 Rob did weekend shows on FOX Sports Radio until leaving XM to do a full-time show for Clear Channel on FOX Sports Radio in Los Angeles until January, 2014.
